Compliance Specialist

Sender ID registration, Peppol e-invoicing, consent registers and the evidence trail.

[ WHAT IT PAYS ]

$180 to $320 per engagement, plus 10% of any build that follows from an audit.

Indicative and negotiated per engagement. The figures it is calculated from are published on this site, so you can do the arithmetic yourself before you talk to us.

[ WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE ]

Who does well here

Precision and patience. Registrations move at the speed of other people's queues.

[ 01 / THE ENGAGEMENT ]

What the work is

Written the way we would describe it to you on the phone.

[ THE WORK ]

What you actually do

  • Audit what a client is sending and against which sender IDs
  • Manage registrations through approved providers end to end
  • Capture dated evidence so an answer takes a minute, not a week
[ WHAT YOU NEED ]

To be considered

  • An ABN
  • Familiarity with ACMA rules or willingness to learn them properly
  • Comfort saying 'that is not law yet' when it is not
[ 02 / QUESTIONS ]

The things people ask first

Including the one about whether this is employment.

Is this employment?

No. It is an independent contractor engagement: you invoice us with an ABN, you control how you do the work, you use your own tools, and you can work for others. We are explicit about that because dressing employment up as commission-only is unlawful in Australia, and we will not structure one.

When do I get paid?

Within 7 days of the client's money clearing, not 7 days after we invoice them. If a client is late you hear about it from us rather than wondering.

How do I check what I am owed?

Every build price and managed fee is published on this site. You can calculate your share before you start and check it afterwards against a page anyone can read.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No exclusivity and no lock-in. If we ever need exclusivity on a specific account we pay for it separately and put it in writing.

These are contractor and partner engagements, not employment. You invoice us with an ABN, you control how you do the work, you use your own tools, and you carry your own business risk. That distinction matters: a commission-only arrangement dressed up as employment is unlawful in Australia, and we will not structure one. Depending on the engagement, superannuation may still be payable to you even as a contractor, and we account for that rather than pretending it does not apply. If you would rather be an employee, say so on the first call and we will tell you honestly whether we can offer that yet.
